I have posted this in a forum but I thought this is a great tool to share to other blogger too to test the load time of a web page. We know that our web page loading speed plays a great factor in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I have heard to keep your loading speed at 10 sec. a recommended time so that Google bots and other web crawlers are not gonna bounce from your slow web page loading speed. During my visit through different blogs I noticed several blog sites out there that loads really slow. Here is a simple way to test your site for loading speed and it gives you simple analysis on which widget is dragging your loading speed. visit Test the load time of a web page using WebsiteOptimization.com
or Pingdom Tools These sites will test and analyze your web page in a way you will know which widget is loading the slowest,which files are not helping the loading speed and gives you recommendations on what to do to help solve the problem. It is worth a test

Intense Debate,Brings Comment to Different Level

Bring your comment box to the next level switch to Intense Debate. It's about a month now since I converted my comment box into intense debate. It just brings your comment section into different level, better interaction and also some plug ins that used to be only available for Wordpress platform, like CommentLuv which I just liked the most which let my commenter post their latest blog post URL. Please do put your blog URL to benefit the COMMENTLUV plug in. It is not really complicated to switch either, it only takes few steps and ability to follow instructions and taking time to read and there should be no problem. For Blogger platform, it will hide your previous comments if you choose to convert all your post including the old posts into Intense Debate. So let it be known that it does give you that option. With me, I don't want to hide the old post because I don't want my commenter before to think that I deleted their comments so I decided to convert just the newer posts. If you can see, some of my post are on intense debate and the older ones are still on old system. I would recommend converting to Intense Debate by inserting code through template, as the other option which is adding the widget will slow down the upload speed of your page and we all know that is not good. Adgitize Advertising Pays Back

It's about two months and a half now since I started blogging. I was kinda reluctant to "publicise" my site before but I gave it a try anyhow. So I tried a month for Adgitize and instantly I saw traffic had increased and found out I also got paid lil extra if you publicise. I pretty much earn back what I paid for a month of "publishing" if you become more active. So here I posted a proof of my payment from Adgitize through my paypal account.

Thanks Adgitize for the payment and for the friendly customer service that is willing to listen and help new blogger like me. Unlike other publishing group I found which given my new blog a cold treatment and unprofessional comment and being told "my posts don't make sense at all." Considering my blog was only 3 days old at that time, I would rather hear them told me that my blog need more contents than be told bluntly and so sarcastic.

I wanted to share simple tip for Blogger.com platform user who have decided to remove the navigation bar. If you are like me who update your blog often , you will find it having to go back to edit page or design page and without the navigation bar, you will find yourself finding ways to click back to dashboard.

One quick way is either you can save the dashboard URL to your browser's favorite list or you can do like I did. I've added the dashboard link to my "link List Plug In" . Copy the Dashboard URL below and save the link to your browsers favorite list or add it to your "Link List plug in"

Google Chrome Showing Some Malware Warning on Few Sites

I noticed earlier today when I tried to check my blog using Google Chrome and It showed this "Warning: Visiting this site may harm your computer! check out which code need to be deleted or else few blog sites will lose few potential traffic due to this warning.

First check your blog by viewing it on Chrome.If you get the warning page then you will need to remove this widget/widgets off to fix the problem. This is the widget that shows popularity and drop value for entrecard. I believe this is just a third party plug in and Entrecard has nothing to do with this. I was alarmed to see such alert because this widget was working fine for months now and suddenly this.I want to mention it again that this only happens using Google Chrome browser..

How To Change the Logo or Icon on Your Address Bar for Blogger.com account

I have few people that says it don't work anymore. I actually went to few blogs talking about Blogger.com not allowing to customized the favicon on address bar or the title bar. Well, I've tried few codes and sure is,there are codes that did not work but after different trial and error, I found a code with lil editing, it worked for me. as you can see on my title bar has custom logo.It is simple yet takes few steps to follow . First you need to create a favicon or convert an image into .ICO extension (favicon- is short for favorite icon , URL icon ,website icon, shortcut icon) These sites will make you generate the favicon:

Site 1 IconJ is the answer to all favicon needs, it converts image to favicon and it can also host your favicon and you don't need to sign up . After you upload the image it will actually generate you the CODE . Choose "Host It at IconJ.com: (Direct Link) ." Copy the code .

Now log in to you Blogger.com account andedit your template html (it is a good habit to save and back up your template when u edit)
Find </head> using "Ctrl / Command + G" .Paste the code you copied from IconJ just before the </head> I just like to paste it here because it is easy to find and I dont have to mess with lots of <meta> tags.

"Save Template" , now when you visit your page, you should see the custom icon on title bar or the address bar.

Site 2. FAVICON.CC will make you create your own favicon and convert regular image into favicon format. SO this is still nice site to use if you want to make your own favicon then use ICONJ as your Favicon Host.

Site 3. Favicon Generator and Gallery also let you generate a favicon but the difference is you could also submit it to their gallery and they would add your icon as part of their change link system.

LUV COMMENT ACTIVATED BLOG

I finally getting the hang out of this new update I made to my Blog comment system. First,I modify my code to turn it into DoFollow which make my commenter able share my back link juice, it is kinda suicidal for rank hungry blogger as it will send negative impact to blog ranking when there are too much outbound links, but the positive still outweighs the negative impact as it will drive more traffic and encourage comments showing more numbers for "reach" and because of that I enable LUV COMMENT on my blog. It's not just sharing back link juice, but also showing your last blog entry. So please try and see for yourself the benefit of on your blog and I would like to add them to my DoFollow and CommentLuv list. Try to comment here and see how LUV Comment would work for your blog too

DoFollow Checker Plug in for Mozilla Firefox

I just recently converted my blog into a DoFollow to drive and encourage more comments. Now that I understand little bit more about DoFollow thingy, I got into thinking how could someone really be sure if that site is truly a "dofollow" blog? Of course we all know that checking the source code would be the way but , is there easier? lol.. I like easier and faster because here when we are blogging, time is money and money is time, so

think about faster way so we can do more for our time.So I found out that there is this plug ins for Mozilla Firefox called 1. NoDoFollow and 2. SEO tools that you can use and it literally highlighted all the dofollow links in blue and the nofollow links in red. check it out. Now I just dont rely on the DOFOLLOW logo, you can actually be sure it is a legit dofollow site.

When NoDoFollow is installed all you have to do is restart mozilla firefox ,"right click" on page and check NoDofollow to activate it and uncheck to deactivate it...(or for pages that Right click is disabled . just click on "tools" then check mark the NoDofollow plug in.

With SEO Tools You need to click the Logo on the bottom right to turn it on and off and it should show all nofollow links in red...

HOW TO CLAIM SITE IN ALEXA FOR BLOGGER.COM USERS

This is just illustrated instruction how to claim your BLOG in ALEXA.COM

did some experiment and it worked.If you are using BLOGGER.com.I am sure fellow

bloggers like me have same question , we can't upload in

root directory in blogger.com. I only see "MANUAL VERIFY"

HERE'S MY TRICK:

1. Log in to ALexa.com and click "for site owners".

2. It will show Services but go down to "Manage your site" and click "CLAIM YOUR SITE".

3. Type in your BLOG URL in the box and then Click ".CLAIM YOUR SITE Make sure you type in the full URL address.

4. It will show some code . Choose option 2 "VERIFY MY META TAG" . COPY the META Tag

5. Log in to BLOGGER.COM, click "EDIT DESIGN" and make sure you are on
"EDIT HTML" mode then insert the META TAG you copied from ALEXA.COM right after "<head> " (section check illustration above)

6. Click "SAVE TEMPLATE"

7. Now go back to Alexa.com page again and CLICK " Verify My MetaTag"

8. Confirmation window that you made it. You should be done!! I hope this works for you.

Dropping Entrecard

I just had my entrecard today. Since I am new to blogging am kinda learning the tricks and trade of this myself. For entrecard users I guess we change and drop points.... Now am looking for members who need to be dropped...I guess I can post this today since I am blog hopping and changing links. Am getting the hang out of blogging and changing link...it is absorbing somehow , this is still a learning process.

How to get the "Feed URL" the easiest way

As a new Blogger I am having a hard time figuring out how to do stuffs around...I can edit pages and layout ok but blogging is like a new route for me. Until I was stuck with this question..how to get the FEED URL? ahhhhh after messin and googling shall I call it...I got idea but I kinda like to get the easier way instead of getting the Source code like most I read........all you do is edit this :

OR you could also try to "right click on your own "subscribe button" that look like this
then click " COPY LINK LOCATION" I prefer this one because it will eliminate the confusion specially is you are using feedburner and don't know what rss feed url to use. goodluck.

Taking the first step.

First step seems always the hardest thing to do. I can remember back when I was scared riding the airplane hehehe. But look now I so love to travel. Here I am making my first post , thank God to a friend who inspired me to take the step and instead of waste my time doing nothing, now I can use my time into something useful and somewhat love to do..that is sharing ideas , links and most specially learning . I once heard a co worker said that if you don't learn something a day, then you are not doing good. Goodluck to to my blogging days.
